About us and our dog walking area
Free from the Lead is set on our working family livestock farm near Charterhouse. The area is already extremely popular with dog walkers, but there is no-where that allows for training of young dogs or accommodates timid or boisterous dogs. The family thought they would like to help people out in the training and care of their dogs, and so ‘Free from the Lead’ was conceived and opened in 2021.
What we can offer
Perhaps you just want some quiet time with your canine friend, or even to meet up with a human one and their dog! Free from the Lead is the idea place to meet, to work to train or just to have some fun.
Access to the site is via the main farm entrance and is clearly signed. Upon arrival, you will need the code (which is sent to you after you have booked a slot. If you don’t receive the email within a couple of minutes please check your junk/spam folders) to get through the paddock gate which you will need to close after you have driven in, but before you let your dog out.
The time slots are for half an hour or for one hour. Once booked, that time slot is exclusively yours and includes up to two dogs. If you wish to bring more than two dogs, you can, but there is a small extra charge. If you wish to have a friend join you, you can, just pay for the extra dog(s).
